Long time…

Hey guys…man it has been a long time since I wrote and I thought it was time to give a little update on what I am up to…..I am really excited about this summer cause in the end of June I am going with my wife Leah to Kenya with Heavenly Treasures and we are going to be serving with HT’s missions teams with my main focus to capture video for the Changing Lives Tour 2010! It is going to be an amazing time as we are focusing on raising awareness of God’s heart for the poor and oppressed around the world. So look out for more info on that.

I am also really pumped about recording a new cd. I have been writing this whole past year and right now I am in the beginning stages of planning out a new record that I hope to have come out in 2010!

If you think of me you can pray for me and Leah as we get ready to go to Kenya. We are still working on getting all our financing and preparing ourselves spiritually and physically for that trip. And you can also pray for the new album and all that goes along with that as I work on putting together the team that is going to help bring the whole album together.

I hope you’re doing good….if not….I recently have really felt God putting a verse of Amazing Grace on my heart and I hope it can encourage you:

The Lord have promised good to me

Phoenix Trip

This past weekend I had a great time in Phoenix, Az…I was able to lead a night of worship at Desert Cross Community Church, which is actually the church my Grandpa George used to attend when he was a kid!…Then on Sunday morning I shared 3 songs at Deer Valley Light and Life a great church in the Phoenix Area….It was a great trip….It was a blessing to meet everyone….and a special thanks to all those who helped out….

2008 SongSeeker CD!

Hey guys….I am really excited to let you know that my song ‘Righteous King’ was selected to be apart of the 2008 SongSeeker CD!  Each year at the Saddleback Worship Conference a panel of worship leaders and industry professionals select 10 worship songs to be recorded and placed on the SongSeeker CD that will go out to thousands of worship leaders giving them access to new original worship music.  

The SongSeeker recording of ‘Righteous King’ featured vocalist, Emily Gomez (Saddleback Vocalist, Chronicles of Narnia, finalist BET Sunday’s Best) and was produced by Saddleback team.   It was great to hear their rendition and an honor to be apart of this great group of songwriters.

RIGHTEOUS KING – NOW AVAILABLE!!

Hello guys and gals, I just wanted to let you know that my new album “Righteous King” is now available!   You can purchase your copy at davidgaulton.com and itunes!  

I am really excited to release this new album!  ”Righteous King” features 5 of my original worship songs.  The title track, “Righteous King” is a praise anthem that was inspired by Revelations 19.  As I read that chapter in Revelations my heart yearned to give God the praise that is due to his name, that we would raise our voice and join with all heaven and sing to the Righteous King. I hope and pray this CD leads you into worship of our God. For he alone is worthy!

Blessed to have a new friend – Koti Hu

It has been an amazing time for me the last couple of weeks.  It started with a great trip to Seattle, Washington.  I was invited to play a benefit concert for an amazing worship leader, Koti Hu.  I had never met Koti before I came up to Seattle, but it was a total blessing to meet him.  Koti is a true worship leader who was in a horrible accident last summer that left him paralyzed from the chest down.  From the first time I met him I could see how God was using Koti to lead people to Jesus even in his new situation.  Even though Koti is physically traumatized, God calling on Koti’s life still remains as a worship leader and maybe even more so as I have seen that his life is a living song of praise, a living sacrifice.  Koti, I pray that God’s true joy and love would be so ever present to you everyday and that His Spirit would continue to fill you overflowing! I was totally blessed to meet Koti and God willing we are going to get together in the future and hopefully write songs and lead worship together.  If you want to check out Koti’s music you can go to itunes and check out his album Cody Who!

 

Night of Worship – CD release Concert April 25th!

UCI EPIC

Last night I had an awesome time leading worship down at UCI (University of California, Irvine) with my buddy Josh Grieve.  We led at UCI’s EPIC which is a branch of Campus Crusades for Christ.  It was really great to come together and see some friends that we had made at EPIC’s West Coast Conference back in February ‘08.  I was really encouraged by the ministry that is going on down there at UCI and to just be apart of the group at least for a night.  We met in a regular classroom that was on campus and there was really nothing special about the place but it was amazing to gather with students and leaders from UCI and just worship.  I really felt that God’s spirit came to that ordinary classroom as we worshiped Him and I was just reminded that we can worship God no matter where we are and there is no place where we can go that our God isn’t there.  I know God has great plans for UCI’s EPIC to be a light on their campus. Thanks for letting me be apart of your ministry.  God Bless you guys!
